Roberto Villarreal is an emerging artist whose practice is rooted in curiosity and material exploration. Working across sculpture, craft, and mixed media, he approaches making as a collaboration with the material allowing it to move, resist, and guide the outcome. Rather than imposing control, Villarreal treats each process as a dialogue, discovering form through repetition, accident, and response.
With a background in ceramics, he continues to build upon traditional sculpting techniques while experimenting with wax, felt, plaster,mold making , jewelry and metal smithing . His works often grow out of one another, connected by an ongoing search for balance between intention and intuition.
